This is a 16+ workshop.
In this 6-hr watercolour painting workshop, you’ll be guided through watercolour techniques and basic colour theory. You’ll use your new skills to paint a landscape painting, using a reference photo (bring one along if you have one).
Paint will be provided by the studio, however, you will require basic watercolour materials for this workshop. You can bring your own, or purchase our Watercolour Kit. If you choose to bring your own, please ensure you have the right size brushes listed below, and that they are meant for watercolour.
Required Materials:
Watercolour Brush: round #6 brush
Watercolour Brush: round #1 brush
Watercolour Brush: ¾ “ flat brush
9×12” watercolour pad, (MUST BE 140 lb cold pressed paper)
Paint pallet for watercolour
Two watercolour pencil crayons, one light blue and one light orange or yellow ochre
One clear wax crayon
This workshop takes place at the West Country Midwives building (grey house with a red door) at 4834 48 St Rocky Mountain House. Please wear clothing you do not mind getting paint on. In this workshop we will take a short break for lunch so please bring one with you.
