Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Private Events & Workshops
Your mindfulness + consideration of our time and resources is greatly appreciated!
When you book a workshop or event with us, we are holding a space specifically for you and your group, within our booking calendar. This means that your scheduled time slot is no longer able to be booked by anyone else. As so, we ask that you cooperate with the following, should you need to cancel or reschedule your workshop, or adjust your booking and number of participants.
Cancellations:
Cancellations made at least 5 days prior to your scheduled booking are eligible for a full refund.
For cancellations made less than 5 days to your scheduled booking, there will be a fee equal to 50% of the cost of the original booking.
We’re happy to work with you to reschedule your booking. However, if you need to reschedule more than once, a $15.00 rescheduling fee will apply.
Cancellations, rescheduling, or adjustments in participant numbers must be made by email only.
Late Arrivals:
Private workshops and events begin at the scheduled time agreed upon during booking. If you arrive late, the workshop or event will still end at the original scheduled time. This means you may not finish your project(s), or will take home less pieces than originally included in your booking.
If you are more than 30 minutes late, the workshop is considered a no-show and will not be refunded or rescheduled.
Group Sizes:
If your group size changes from the original booking, please give us as much advance notice as possible. The pricing for your workshop will adjust to reflect the actual number of attendees. An increase in group size requires approval, and is not guaranteed. Payment for any additional attendees must be made once your request for an increase in attendees is approved, and before the day of your workshop. We always try our best to accommodate additional attendees, but can not guarantee accommodation.
For groups of 1 - 11 participants, please provide at least 48 hours notice for any group size adjustments. For groups of 12 or more participants, please provide at least 7 days notice for any group size adjustments.
Your Creations & Pick up:
Pottery (although incredibly fun), can be unpredictable! Clay sometimes acts in unexpected ways and can crack in the kiln. We do our very best (including practicing the exact projects you are making) to make sure we set you up for success when creating with us. Workshops with us are not only about what you are making, but the experience itself. With that said, we will not provide you with a refund of any kind, full or partial, when pieces do not turn out as expected.
After your workshop or event, pieces will be ready for pick up after 3 weeks. You will be contacted by email once your pieces are ready. We ask that you kindly schedule a pickup with us within 60 days of this notification. For private events and workshops, creations will be packed together and distributed to the participants by the contact who booked the event.
Media Release
All workshop/class participants understand that Forage Community Studio may take photographs and/or video during a class, workshop, or event, and these may be used for marketing, and/or public relations purposes for the studio in various settings including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Forage Community Studio’s web page on the Internet, flyers, posters, and other promotional materials.
I understand that if I wish to be exempt from this, I need to speak with a member of Forage Community Studio and make my exemption known in writing in advance of the workshop. This applies to all participants included under the group sign-up for in-person events either at our location or off-site.
